Get ready for a heartwarming holiday tradition as adoptable rescue animals return to Macy’s 39th Holiday Windows, bringing joy and cheer to the festive displays. Macy’s, in partnership with the San Francisco SPCA, aims to inspire families to consider the joy of adopting a furry friend, reminding everyone that every pet deserves a loving home. Join in spreading the message of love and companionship!

It’s that time of the year again when the puppies and kittens take over the windows of Union Square! This beloved San Francisco holiday tradition is back again, bringing smiles and stealing hearts this season. Our adoptable puppies and kittens are ready to find their forever homes as they romp and play in the windows.

Macy’s in Union Square unveils their Annual Holiday Windows with elaborately decorated holiday window displays all along the outside of the building, featuring some adorable (and adoptable) cats and dogs to help benefit the San Francisco SPCA to find these furry friends a new home.

Unveiling | 2025 Macy’s Holiday Windows: SF’s Cutest Puppies & Kittens | Nov. 21 – Dec. 31

Join Macy’s and special guests to unveil the Holiday Windows starring adoptable animals from the San Francisco SPCA and San Francisco Animal Care & Control. The celebrations kicks off with a special performance by the De Marillac Academy Choir and the guests open the curtains together.

After you’ve seen the wonder of the windows, voted one of the 10 Best Places to Press Your Nose by USA Today, stop in and visit the adoption experts at the SF SPCA adoption station on Level 1 and find out how you can give an animal a forever home, just in time for the holidays.
