CANCELED: “MAKE” 3rd Thursdays After-Hours Event | SF
Design your night at MAKE. On the third Thursday of each month, collaborate with artists and makers, explore unique themes and rethink materials through creative design projects. Enjoy hands-on art activities and crafts, artist-led happy hours, films, tours, performances and much more. Each month features a different experience and projects.
Cash bar for guests over 21 and complimentary drink tickets for MCD members; ID is required. Space and supplies are limited; some events may require a nominal materials fee.
This month, enjoy MAKE under the stars with a summer parklet party. The creativity moves from the inside to the outside in preparation of two new exhibitions: Interior/Exterior and Dead Nuts: In Search of the Ultimate Machined Object.
Enjoy hands on takeaways that preview the upcoming shows, including Macon Reed inspired bottle vases and a hardware jewelry bar where you can design your ultimate machined wearable.
Step inside the museum to grab a drink, play around with Julie Alpert’s drip aesthetic, take a sneak peek at the galleries in flux and shop in the award-winning MCD store.
PLUS: Contribute to the exhibition by painting paper clay bottles to be used in Macon Reed’s installation, Eulogy for the Dyke Bar.
Cash/Square bar for guests over 21 • Complimentary drink tickets for MCD members; ID required
