Mavericks Surf Festival 2023 (Sept. 30 – Oct. 1)
Come celebrate Mavericks and the men and women who dare to surf one of the most feared breaks on the planet!
The Mavericks Awards big-wave surfing video contest will present its annual Mavericks Festival, a free celebration for the community, on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay.
The Mavericks Festival is a fundraising event benefiting local non-profit organizations, the brave surfers who dare surf Mavericks, and the photographers that capture their rides. The weekend features: live music; the Mavericks Surf Zone where you may meet surfers, surfboard makers, photographers and rescue teams; the Mavericks Photo Zone; the Cannabis Zone, an easy, secure way of purchasing flower, edibles, and spliffs onsite; an Education Zone to meet the groups and organizations that protect our community and keep our oceans safe; the United States Coast Guard where several teams will show and explain their service; local seafood and food trucks; and craft beers and cocktails.
Limited paid parking is available in two locations. Locals are encouraged to walk, rideshare, or bike. Free bike parking is available at the front of the festival area.
