Join the Cartoon Art Museum to welcome Sequoia Blankenship and Rob Thompson for a reception and toon talk for the spotlight exhibition of their debut graphic novel Feo the Chupacabra,  a madcap adventure through Hollywood as Feo, a down-on-his-luck chupacabra, must transform into a famous movie monster to save his hometown. This heartfelt debut graphic novel from two seasoned Pixar animators is a funny, fast-paced adventure about the power of friendship and the importance of believing in yourself. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet the creators, view the exhibition and get your sign copy!

About the Creators

Sequoia Blankenship is a writer who loves stories, film, comics, and cajeta. He has been drawing and telling tales (not  just to get out of trouble) for as long as he can remember, and has had the good fortune to work and animate at Pixar Animation Studios for 23 years (way longer than anyone expected). His animation has appeared in such films as Ratatouille, Incredibles 2, and Coco, to name a few. Sequoia lives with his family in Petaluma, California, the self-proclaimed “Butter and Eggs Capital of the World,” which means they have to watch their cholesterol.

Rob Thompson is an animator currently living in California. He has worked on several Pixar films, including Ratatouille, Toy Story 3, and Inside Out 2. Thompson grew up in San Diego, where he spent many hours hiding from the sun in local comic book shops. He lives with his girlfriend and their two chupacabras.
