Free Concerts at Optical Underground | SF
A free show in a glasses shop? It’s true. Optical Underground is an eyewear store with a double personality — it morphs into a downstairs venue with great acoustics featuring local bands.
Their monthly after hours underground sessions offer free shows with free drinks and snacks. These SF natives use every opportunity to jam in their underground space.
Often they will have a donation jar for a local non-profit, so bring some cash to chip in.
Come to Optical Underground’s Give to Glide fundraiser concert with San Francisco rock and roll band, Melvoy, plus free drinks and appetizers from 7-9 pm on November 21, 2013.
Free, but an RSVP is required.
They will be serving complimentary margaritas from Laughing Glass Cocktails and free appetizers from E&O Asian Kitchen. All event attendees will receive a lens coupon.
Melvoy, hailing from San Francisco, brings Raucous energy back to Rock and Roll. Their debut E.P. “Midnight Makeup” was produced by Grammy award winning musician Ikey Owens of the Mars Volta and Jack White Band. At the shows, the band turns themselves into a party bus and cranks the stereo to 12. Melvoy’s anything goes attitude has been the key to their victories over the past year.
