Time travel to Elizabethan England for an afternoon with William Shakespeare and friends. Join San Anselmo Public Library as Guild of St. George hosts the Merrie May Faire.

Merry May Faire: An Afternoon with Shakespeare & Friends
Saturday, May 5, 2018 | 1 pm to 4 pm
San Anselmo Public Library, 110 Tunstead Avenue, San Anselmo

Activities will include:

• Interactive Shakespeare: All the world’s a stage, so come act out some of Shakespeare’s famous lines. Show your best death scene, and maybe learn some new insults.
• Falcons and hawks: Learn how to train your falcon. See (and hear) trained birds fly on command. The falconers love to answer your questions about birds and their role as hunters.
• Music and dancing: Listen to some of Good Queen Bess’ favorite tunes and learn some fun new (but old) dance moves.
• Crafts: Meet craftspeople, see a woodworking demo, and find out how people made things before industrialization.

It’s free and wheelchair accessible. Ages 8-108 welcome.
