Freespace Pop-Up Community Center
Freespace is a pop-up community center focused on hacking the civic experience. It is hosted in a 14,000 sqft warehouse in S0Ma, San Francisco, envisioned and implemented entirely by you.
Freespace was originally just a one month project, but it was extended to two months thanks to successful Indiegogo campaign. They’re now open periodically (check their schedule). They host a wide array of events and projects like classes, music, art, silent discos, yoga, a free bikeshare, community engagement and field trips, and more than a few silly costumes.
Join us to understand the challenges and opportunities in Mid-Market and how you can contribute to creating a vibrant, connected neighborhood.
A panel of community organizers, artists, housing providers, and local non-profit leaders will discuss their experiences and how you can help create solutions that will leave a lasting positive change.
Panelist organizations include:
- Tenderloin Tech Lab
- Catholic Charities
- The Hospitality House
