Paseo Artístico, Cine+Mas SF, and KQED are thrilled to announce their collaboration in presenting a FREE screening of “The Rise and Fall of the Brown Buffalo”, a film by Phillip Rodriguez.

A self-described “Brown Buffalo”, Oscar “Zeta” Acosta was a Chicano lawyer, author, activist, and counterculture figure of the 1960’s and 1970’s. Zeta was complex, charismatic, and at his core, an advocate for justice.

Paseo Artístico, Cine+Mas SF, and +KQED are collaborating in celebrating not just the life of Zeta, but wanting to highlight his unique story as a vehicle to spotlight Latinx artists who’s work is focused on giving a voice to underrepresented communities, and empowering the next generation of Latinxs.
