Get discounts at Mission merchants while indulging in everything from fresh mariscos to mangos at Live Local Mission’s launch at the Mission Community Market tonight.

A new neighborhood loyalty program committed to strengthening the bonds between Mission residents and businesses, the program sells Live Local cards for $20, which gets card-holders discounts at local Mission merchants like Her Majesty’s Secret Beekeeper, Mission: Comics & Art and Dynamo Donuts all year long.

Live Local also will be giving away $200 in gift certificates tonight from the 17 inaugural Live Local businesses through trivia contests, pigeon draw-offs and a silent auction benefiting Mission Graduates, a group which helps kids in the Mission get accepted in and thrive at college. The first ten people to buy Live Local cards will also win a beer with Seth, the founder of this organization.

So do some grocery shopping and bid on something at the silent auction tonight, all while taking advantage of new found steals and deals at your favorite neighborhood stores.
