EcoCenter (Heron’s Head Park/ NOW Hunters Point) | 32 Jennings Street, San Francisco, CA

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?'” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On January 15, the Aquarium of the Bay is celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service with a shoreline cleanup around the EcoCenter at Heron’s Head Park.  They love working alongside dedicated volunteers to pick up everyday items like straws, wrappers, cigarette butts, and other plastic trash from harming our ecosystem.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

If one of your New Years resolutions involves going greener, here’s a great opportunity for you to start.

What to bring: this signed waiver, comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle. If you can, bring a bucket and a pair of work gloves too.
