Celebrate Herman Melville’s 1860 arrival in San Francisco with an evening of exciting events on their Enchanted Isle. Open Mic Melville-read your favorite passage from a Melville story of poem and if you “prefer not to,” just listen.

There will also be mini lectures by people in the know. These won’t be your Typee-ical talks.  A Screening of the short film: Paths that Shine: Nantucket and the Essex, will follow.
