“Heavy Breathing” Absurd Artist-Led Fitness Classes

Heavy Breathing is a summer series of free critical theory seminars in the form of absurd, artist-led conceptual fitness experiences while jogging, swimming, restraint training, practicing yoga, and more. Feel the burn from June 18 to August 30, 2015 around the SF Bay Area.

Heavy Breathing invites guest artists and the general public to combine physical exercise with group discussion on topics such as humor, ritual, failure, pleasure, aesthetics, and ephemerality. Heavy Breathing sessions activate bodies along with minds, to get people talking, thinking, laughing, and feeling good. Heavy Breathing is organized by Sophia Wang and Lisa Rybovich Crallé.
