Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.
The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.
Five Morsels of Love is a translation of a Telugu (a south Indian language) cookbook the author’s grandmother wrote in 1975, which she self-published to huge success in India.
She was in midst of translating her cookbook to English when she succumbed to cancer in 2007. Archana picked the project up because she wanted to complete what her grandmother had started and also wanted to celebrate her life and her love for cooking.
