Musicologist and chair of the SF Conservatory Department, Conductor Scott Foglesong has gathered a collection of rare recordings and broadcasts from 1925 to the present. He will lead an audience through The Musical Lecture: An Audio History of the San Francisco Symphony on Tuesday, October 18 at 6p.
With a hundred years of band practice, it should be obvious that this exhibition offers a history worth hearing. There will be an exhibition of archived photographs, objects, documents, concert programs and posters of The San Francisco Symphony at the San Francisco’s Main Library through January 9, 2012.
