SLOW MOTION COWBOYS (5pm) play a style of down-tempo country music and feature members of Trainwreck Riders. The band has been playing up and down the West Coast since 2002. Influenced by old stories and new adventures, the sound pulls you into the kitchen, the coast or memories of past kisses when you sat and sang by a wood burning stove. Though SMC performs almost strictly original music, the song writing draws willingly from old-time bluegrass, folk, and other outlaw country pickers. GILDED ROOKS (3:30) are Melvin (drums, banjo), Steve (piano, organ), Brown (vocals, percussion), Devon (vocals, guitar, singing saw), Dan (lap steel, dobro) and David (bass). Influences: the night, the wind, the thunder, the road… booze…women…ornery men.
CHACHI (2pm) are an indie-rock band based in LA and are one of the best un-discovered bands around. This show will be a rare acoustic singer-songwriter kind of set. Chachi features former The Music Store employee, Richard Morales.
