Event Details

Composer Maury Yeston takes Frederico Fellini’s masterpiece film 8 1/2 and turns it into an essay on the power of women.

Guido Contini is a famous film director/Casanova who is about to reach his breaking point. In order to try and escape his problems (a dissolving marriage, constant and complicated affairs, mounting work pressure, mid-life crisis, etc.), he goes to a spa in Venice with his wife, seeking privacy (read: a place to hide) and inspiration. He grapples with his past to reveal the substance of his life, but will he emerge inspired? Or will his world be torn apart?
