SFAQ [Project] Space: Free & Thoughtful Arts Programming | Tenderloin

SFAQ [Project] Space is a social sculpture and miniature institution that will be open to the public for four months of free and thoughtful arts programming at 449 O’Farrell Street in the Tenderloin.

SFAQ [Project] Space will explore:
Net Neutrality • Design • Art History • Food • Feminism • Youth • California Cool • Commerce • Collecting • Video Art • Video Conservation • Video Archiving + Preservation • The MFA • Relational Aesthetics • The Art Market • Broadcast Media • American Gothic • Popular Culture • Theory • Art Practice • Reality TV

The Networked World (March 24, April 21, May 19, June 9)
Ben Valentine, art critic and culture commentator, will organize a series of 4 panels on the complexities of networked creativity in today’s unique technological environment.

Discussions include:

  • “The Archive” [March 24] with Alexis Rossi,Natalie Cadranel, and Keir Winesmith;
  • “Is it Global?” [April 21] with Dorothy SantosEmily Holmes, and Quinn Norton;
  • “We the Users” [May 19] with Tim HwangAngela Washko, and Cullen Hoback;
  • “Weird Future” [June 9] with Sterling CrispinAdam Rothstein, and Morehshin Allahyari.
