On Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 10:30 am, strip down and join the World Naked Bike Ride as they take a leisurely nude bicycle ride to Riptide’s Annual Pacific Ocean Plunge on New Year’s Day and jump in all nudey like.
Join up for the bike ride and naked plunge, or just come and be a spectator. Everyone is welcome.
The World Naked Bike Ride San Francisco chapter helps carry on this annual tradition. Whether you’re a new participant or you’ve participated before, you’re welcome to join in for their annual New Year’s Day tradition.
Meet at the west side of the intersection of the Great Highway and Lincoln Way for a World Naked Bike Ride.
Meet up with your bikes, trikes, skates or whatever human powered mode of transport at 10 am. Their rides are clothing optional, but as always, you can ride as bare as you dare. You’re welcome to ride in swimsuits, wetsuits, body paint, latex gear, or whatever you choose for your own comfort and modesty level. Please be covered riding to and at the meet up spot. They will ride down the Great Highway to Taraval crossing and onto the beach for the Polar Plunge, which will take place at noon.
You can bring your libations of choice by bike. And those that don’t want to ride to the beach, but want to do the Polar Plunge, or just be a festive spectator, can await the group at Ocean Beach near Taraval. The riders can have friends waiting at the beach with festive feasts. After the plunge, everyone is free to remain for an informal beach party. Last year, the temperatures were near the 70s, so why not have a nice day at the beach.
