Widely recognized as one of the world’s premier solo bassists, Michael Manring has redefined what’s possible on the instrument. His music combines jaw-dropping technique with deep emotional resonance, employing advanced tunings and radical performance innovations.

​A former student of the legendary Jaco Pastorius, Michael has played thousands of concerts worldwide—from Carnegie Hall to Yamaha Hall—and collaborated with artists like Suzanne Ciani, Michael Hedges, Thomas Dolby, and Alex Skolnick. As the longtime house bassist for Windham Hill Records, he’s released several acclaimed solo albums, including Thonk and Soliloquy.

Marc E. Moglen is a bassist, composer, and vocalist whose musical journey bridges science and soul. With roots in psychoacoustics at UC Berkeley and musicology at the University of Leipzig, Marc brings deep curiosity to every note.

​From early beginnings in musical theatre to electronic composition and his signature slap bass technique, Marc now leads Nomad Funk, an all-original instrumental trio founded in Valencia, Spain. Their debut album drops soon.
