All Night Summer Solstice Celebration: DJs & Yoga | Oakland

Welcome the dawn of summer days by celebrating into the night with yoga, dance, music, art, and healing at Sol, a union of like-minded spirits gathering in peace and consciousness on Friday, June 21, 2013.

Early bird tickets are $5. The price may go up at the door.

Music Lineup:

• Parker Ainsworth who “has the voice of a man whose lived many lives in one lifetime. He’s a mystic wandering bard…you can hear the Texan smoke in his voice and his finger picking should be studied. He’s a painter with words and his palette is plentiful.” – NohoArtsDistrict
• DJ Sychosis‘ unique blend of all things broken beat, electro, and house has destroyed dance floors across California.
• DJ Jim Carson has over 16 years on the decks. Spinning funky acid house, deep house, funky disco house, and breaks from 1997 to 1999.

Cacao Ceremony 
Join a free Cacao Ceremony during the party. It’s free and there will be enough to go around for everyone. Ceremonial cacao was traditionally used by the Ancient Mayan Shamans in ceremony to travel between the worlds, to travel beyond the veil. To do this, the shamans infused their cacao with spirit, giving the ceremonial cacao a spiritual dimension not found in other cacao sources. Ceremonial cacao is therefore an ancient plant medicine, a wisdom keeper, a teacher and facilitator.

Kombucha Samples
Sara’s Symbiosis will be on hand giving out free sample of her homemade Organic Raw Kombucha and selling it as well.

The event will also feature yoga and a kirtan dance.
