Nightlife on Mars: Free Underground Comedy Night | SF

Nightlife on Mars is a local comedy troupe consisting of Joe Nguyen, Adam McLaughlin and Ryan Cronin. You may recognize them from local comedy clubs or as the disheveled guys at the bar. They make you laugh, and they run a kickass show at Murphy’s Pub in the Financial District of San Francisco.

Draft beers are $1 off during our shows, and Murphy’s has an awesome selection.

Guests for the 5/17 show includes:

Tim Young – Tim is one of the country’s most successful college comedians, having performed at more than 500 colleges since he got started in the business nearly 15 years ago. He’s been on MTV, Comedy Central, NBC’s “Friday Night,” and “Last Comic Standing.”

Shanti Charan – Shanti has taken Bay Area comedy competitions by storm winning 3rd place in the 2010 San Jose Improv Comedy Competition and winning 1st place in the 2011 Rooster T Feather’s Comedy Competition.

Jeff Reitman – Originally from the Philadelphia area, Jeff Reitman has spent the better part of his life wasting way too much time playing video games and pursuing a myriad of geek hobbies including programming, board games, a brief and deeply regretted journey down the abyss that is Magic: The Gathering.

Katie Compa – Katie Compa is a fast-talking comedian from Washington, D.C., a great place to learn to be a cynic. Growing up an ugly duckling—and, as an added bonus, a complete nerd—helped Katie develop a biting sense of humor as a highly effective defense mechanism, which she now uses to write and perform comedy.

David Studebaker – Dave is neither a singer, nor an actress, but he is the winner of the 2009 STC Young Comics Competition, finalist in the 2009 Battle of the Bay comedy competition and creator of the Young Guns of Comedy – a “critic’s choice” in the North Bay Bohemian and one of the longest running comedy shows in the Bay Area.

Show takes place in a private room in the lower level of Murphy’s Pub, 217 Kearny St (b/t Sutter and Bush).
