Emily Van Dyke | CANCELED: “Nightlife on Mars” Comedy Night | SF

Guests for the 9/5 show include:

  • Emily Van Dyke – Emily Van Dyke is 30 and still on her mom’s cell phone plan. Originally from Indiana, The Crossroads of America, she has struggled to overcome a monotone voice and nearsightedness to become a comic and educator.
  • Steve Poggi – Steve Poggi is a young, daring, and sometimes naive individual. Since the age of twelve, Poggi has overcome life’s obstacles on his own terms. It was this self-education that turned him into a fast thinking, sharp tongued, urban warrior. Poggi turned life’s hardships into an outrageously hilarious off-beat show. Poking fun at his flawed social habits, dysfunctional family, and a wild drug plagued past.
  • Matt Rath – Matt Rath is an improv comedian who never performs the same way twice. He has an amazing talent for taking audiences to the border of discomfort and reeling them back in with hilarious outcomes. Named one of SF Weekly’s Comics to watch in 2013, “Rath’s unique stand-up and stellar improv skills have him popping up on every local showcase, improv and sketch show in town.”
  • Bert DiVietri – A San Francisco-based comedian originally from Lansing, Michigan, Bert Divietri was a regular at the world famous Purple Onion, a member of the Young Guns of Comedy, and the co-founder of the comedy hip-hop group Death Ray Astray who recently released two music videos for their most requested songs.
  • John Hoogasian – John Hoogasian is the best-kept comedy secret weapon. A wit honed to a razor’s edge through years of sacrifice propels Johnnie’s creative flow. Immediately accessible and fresh, Hoggie’s style is both pioneering and classic. He tailors his sets to the harmonics of his audience. His fearless on-stage adventures challenge the audience to be with him in the moments.
  • Stephen Ku
