Nightlife on Mars is a weekly comedy show at Murphy’s Pub, produced by local comics Joe Nguyen, Red Scott, and Natasha Muse.

The three members of Nightlife on Mars are the triptych that represents the spiritual base of the San Francisco comedy scene. Between them, they’ve performed with comic talents ranging from Robin Williams to Wyatt Cenac, and have been featured by the SF Weekly, The Daily Mail, and KALW.

Joe Tobin | CANCELED: “Nightlife on Mars” Comedy Night | SF

Joe Tobin – Originally from Philadelphia, Joe has become a regular in Bay Area comedy clubs, and he has been fortunate to work with such great comedians as Dave Chappelle, Jake Johannsen, Doug Benson, and Zach Galifiankis, to name a few. Joe Montana once shook his hand and said, “good job.” This may have been the highlight of his career. An East Coast personality trapped in a West Cost lifestyle, Joe’s standup has been featured on the Independent Film Channel, the SF Sketchfest, and he also blogs (mostly about sports) at joetobin.com.

Steve Poggi – Steve Poggi is a young, daring, and sometimes naive individual. Since the age of twelve Poggi has overcome life’s obstacles on his own terms. It was this self-education that turned him into a fast thinking, sharp tongued, urban warrior. Poggi turned life’s hardships into an outrageously hilarious off-beat show. He pokes fun at his flawed social habits, dysfunctional family, and a wild drug plagued past. His sheepish smile and rebellious nature allow him to point out the absurdity of love, politics, and the always evil, upper management. His show mixes in some of his strange, but true stories of safaris at the local zoo, trapped squirrels, and giant bird kidnapping. Once on stage, Poggi transforms into a comedy juggernaut, delivering an extremely potent night of laughter, every time.

Imran G – Imran G began his career in 2009 in Denver, Colorado before quickly moving on to pursue comedy in Seattle. Within a year, he performed at all of the major clubs in Seattle and placed in the 2009 Giggles Comedy Competition before moving to California. Imran now performs all around the Bay Area, gracing the stage at such renowned clubs as the Purple Onion, the San Jose Improv, San Francisco Punchline, and Cobb’s Comedy, among others. In 2011, Imran was honored to work with rising international star Sugar Sammy in San Jose.
