Feb. 20 | CANCELED: “Nightlife on Mars” Comedy Night | SF

February 20, 2014 lineup:

Matt Gubser – With his mellow personality and razor sharp wit, Matt’s comedy relentlessly challenges a spectrum of social conventions including politics, organized religion, issues of all shapes and sizes, and recounts the absurdities of his experiences parenting, dating and aging. Matt has performed at clubs and comedy festivals across the western US, including SF Sketchfest, the Sacramento Comedy Festival, S.H.I.T.S. and Giggles Comedy Festival, & Santa Cruz Fringe Fest. He is part of the Ha Ha Heathens Comedy Tour and co-produces “It’s Just Two Minutes,” a monthly comedy show in San Francisco.

Emily Epstein White – Ever since Emily was little (and by that she means, only slightly smaller then she stands today), she was a performer. Perhaps it is the Napoleon complex, her quirky sensibility, or her ability to find herself in strange situations varying from treadmill accidents to topless beaches, but the girl has something to say. With her laid back style, Emily immediately puts the audience at ease, entertaining them with her personal anecdotes, observational humor, and experience from the dating trenches. She has performed all over New York and works what her mama gave her (at least comedy-wise).

Kristee Ono – Kristee is a guilty pleasure. You really do not want your friends to know how much you actually enjoy her. Relatively entertaining, she has been in the San Francisco comedy scene for five years, carving a nice little cave for herself. She hosted the Ladies’ Room Comedy Open Mic, the city’s only all-female comedy open mic. She has performed at the Punchline, Cobbs, the Purple Onion and anywhere else she can.

Kevin O’Shea – Established in 1984 following the mergers of Steven and Cathy O’Shea, Kevin O’Shea has been one of San Francisco’s leading manufacturers of mirth, laughter, hilarity and all around good times. Kevin has been commonly described as clever, absurd, awkward, but in a funny way, and too smart for his own good. He has been seen on the Independent Film Chanel and ComedyCentral.com. He was featured as one of the “30 Under 30: Comedians You Should Watch” by Splashlife and Funny or Die. He is a favorite of comedy festivals such as: The SF Sketchfest, The Burrito and Comedy Festival, Out of Bounds, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival.

Morgan – Morgan is an unapologetic, transgendered transplant originally from New Jersey. Morgan’s story and act have made her a famous at clubs, private events and everything in between.

Steve Lee – Steve Lee is the only Asian disabled comic in America, performing all over the San Francisco Bay Area and Asia, receiving high praise on both continents for his off-beat brand of humor. His comedy blends his Chinese roots with his love for all things American. He performed at Cobb’s Comedy Club, the Punchline SF, San Jose Improv, Purple Onion, Rooster T. Feathers, Tommy Ts, Takeout Comedy Club (Hong Kong), and many different comedy clubs.
