Noise Pop 20th Anniversary Photography Show | North Beach

Peter Ellenby has been taking portraits of both Death Cab For Cutie and John Vanderslice for roughly 15 years.

This art/photo show reveals not only bodies of photographs that serve as gorgeous documents of amazing musicians’ storied careers, but presents a unified group of work that exemplifies Ellenby’s own stylistic progressions.

From images that compositionally mirror each other and thus serve as beautiful reminders of the shared parts of both Vanderslice and DCFC’s journeys, DC/JV presents its subjects’ stories intimately, through the eyes of a photographer who has been there since the beginning. This show also serves as a celebration of the 20th Noise Pop Festival, which Ellenby has officially photographed for the last 18 years.
