Designer Saul Bass’ title sequence sets the tone of this Alfred Hitchcock mid-century classic thriller.
Played out in city, country, and even Mt. Rushmore, Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint play a dangerous game of cat and mouse (1959, 136min). More of Bass’ work can be seen in the current exhibition Designing Home: Jews and Midcentury Modernism.
Free matinee screenings are presented in conjunction with The Contemporary Jewish Museum’s admission-free first Tuesdays of the month.
