NUDES: fine art photos by Jim Stipovich | Berkeley

East Bay wedding photog Jim Stipovich has been photographing nudes in nature for almost 30 years. This exhibit of 24 photos is entirely traditional film photography and darkroom silver based prints. Tonight’s event is an opportunity to meet this charming talented photographer and see his work. We hope several of his models will attend First Friday at Picturish Gallery too.

WHAT WE THINK: The artist clearly has great rapport with his subjects. We love Jim’s straight ahead presentation of the nude art form in nature. Not shocking or edgy, his work is realistic, not idealized, delightful, friendly and even thoughtful which allow us the opportunity to exhibit this work in a retail business to a wider audience than nude photography often receives.

Picturish Gallery is a not for profit gallery space inside a working photo lab. The gallery is made available to selected photographers to show-case and sell their work.
