The season kicks off with a bang (and a growl). join us for the Oakland Spiders’ Ultimate Disc season opener against the reigning West Division Champion San Diego Growlers and the Bay Area Disc Association (BADA) Rising Stars Showcase.
The American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) plays games across North America April through August and features the top ultimate players from around the world. The Oakland Spiders are the only back-back champions in AUDL history.
Ultimate is a fast-paced blend of football and soccer (but with a disc) and features amazing catches and dives throughout.
The Rising Stars Showcase Game is an annual event where we celebrate the rising girls and women players in the ultimate scene. 30 players from local high schools and women’s club teams are nominated to play in this epic game to raise funds to support the development of girls ultimate in the Bay. This year the Oakland Spiders will host the showcase game ahead of our season opener against San Diego.

- The Rising Stars Showcase begins at 5:00pm, followed by Spiders vs. Growlers at 6:15pm.
- Fan Giveaway – First 200 fans through the gates also get a free Spiders neckie/face mask ($12 value)
This game will have it all: All-stars, food trucks, kid zone, music, games and more. Bring the whole family, and don’t forget- kids under 12 get in free.
