Oakland Youth Orchestra Free Performances

The vibrant and award-winning Oakland Youth Orchestra (OYO) consists of 75 talented music students aged 12 to 22 from throughout the region.

The concerts listed below are free and open to the public.

For the 2013 season Oakland Youth Orchestra will perform:

• Richard Wagner – Prelude to Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (1862)
• Samuel Barber – Violin Concerto, Op. 14 (1939) – Jo Griffin, Violin
• Frank Martin – Ballade for Flute and Orchestra (1939) – Hallie Jo Gist, Flute
• Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky – Symphony No. 2, in C minor, Op. 17, “Little Russian” (1872)
