2019 Obon Festival: Buddhist Dance, Japanese Food & Music | Union City

Come and enjoy the Buddhist Festival of Obon featuring Buddhist dancing, Japanese music, and Japanese food for sale at the Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church in Union City on Saturday, August 10, 2019.

Colorful kimono-clad participants gather for the Obon dance, a memorial day for the departed beloved ones and a day to give thanks to them, and honor and remember them with deep felt joy and gratitude.

The Obon Dance will take place at 7 pm. Food will be sold from 5-6 pm.
