Come enjoy a bonfire on the beach with free s’mores, plus singing, drumming, stories and frolicking around the fire until midnight. The event its put on by YeaShOre, a jewish organization (so the marshmallows will be kosher, plus they will bring potatoes and onions for roasting).
There will also be a Jewish Havdalah ritual about an hour after sunset. The ritual lasts a few minutes. As not all the guests at YeaShOre’s bonfires are Jewish, they explain it and invite everyone to join in, though it is not required.
Bring friends, stories, songs, drums and other musical instruments.
Directions & Meetup Instructions:
- 7:00 to 7:30 p.m.: Meet at the Beach Chalet at 1000 Great Highway, between Fulton St. and Lincoln Way.
- After 7:30 p.m.: Cross the Great Highway from the Chalet, go to and down the ramp (not any stairs)
- Look for a colorful fish windsock
