Dust off your lederhosen and dirndls because it’s time for Redwood City’s tenth annual fall celebration–Oktoberfest Downtown Redwood City!! Join us for extended dates this season (September 20-22 and 24-29, 2024) as Courthouse Square transforms into a festive German wunderland with over 2,000 feet of “family style” bench seating, nestled within a Munich-inspired, festive tent of celebration. Get ready for an unforgettable September filled with sensational German fun!

Grab your steins for a clinking good time, complete with thrilling contests, lively music, and dancing. The festivities kick off on Friday, September 20, with ‘Festival Seatings’, featuring genuine German dance music, performers, and game hosts on both weekends through September 29. Weekday ‘Happy Hour Seatings’ offer live music from various German bands. Indulge in mouthwatering German cuisine, including pretzels and brats, perfectly paired with ice-cold beer.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! Join in the excitement with dance contests, stein-holding challenges, yodeling competitions, and hilarious skits with hand gestures to your favorite tunes. Plus, don’t miss the many hilarious versions of the famous “international” chicken dance. Gather your friends and family for an all-around “gut”-time!

Ticket prices range from $10-$20 for all ages (Non-Drinkers), and $16-$30 for Drinkers 21+. This includes a commemorative stein and a drink ticket (beer or soda depending on ticket type). Also available are special VIP, 6-person table-seatings, offered at $250 on week-ends.

Advanced online ticket purchase is recommended, as this event may sell-out prior to door sales. No refunds or exchanges. Food and extra drink tickets are sold separately.

All tickets includes a commemorative stein and a drink voucher (beer or soda depending on ticket type).

VIP TABLES $250: VIP tables seat 6 people and include 12 drink vouchers. VIP attendees have a special entrance door. Not all group members have to arrive at the same time. Table guests can be a combination of Adults and Youths, ID’s will be checked for age. Sales begin mid-August.

AT THE DOOR: Tickets will be available at the door, but we encourage online sales, these events do sell out. If you do not see tickets available for your selected seating online, the time slot is sold out.

*While children are welcome to join us at Oktoberfest and enjoy the music, dancing, and food, there will be no dedicated children’s area or activities at this event. Tickets required for ages 2 & up.

The true tradition of Munich’s famous annual festival comes to Redwood City for Oktoberfest, with a huge decked-out Oktoberfest tent on Courthouse Square – complete with over 2,000 feet of “family style” bench seating, lots of fun and merriment, music, dancing, contests, cold beer and other beverages, food, and more!

The entrance fee includes a commemorative stein & 1 drink ticket (beer or soda depending on ticket type), along with great German-style entertainment featuring Deutscher Musikverein, The Internationals and The Golden Gate Bavarian Club. Delicious German food and extra drink tickets will be sold separately.

Downtown Redwood City’s Oktoberfest extravaganza offers authentically delicious German food, featuring pretzels and brats, along with enticingly cold beer. Dancing, singing, and tons of audience participation will include dance contests, stein holding, yodeling contests, skits with hand gestures to select songs, etc., not to mention many variations of the “international” chicken dance.
