Join us for Open Oakland Day of Service – a delivery-focused, volunteer event where we’ll be modernizing services for the City of Oakland and community nonprofits. Free to attend and open to the public – we’re hosting the space where developers, designers, advocates, and community organizers can join forces to address important community needs that impact all Oakland residents.

Goals for Open Oakland’s Day of Service:
1. Bring together Oakland citizens, young people, students, community leaders, local government officials, municipal employees, artists, developers, designers, journalists to volunteer their skills and time to foster a purposeful connection to the community.
2. Demonstrate the power of collective action through successful delivery of community projects addressing the challenges faced by participating organizations.
3. To serve as inspiration for civic engagement and a champion for the idea that every Oakland resident can make a positive impact on the larger community.

Event Code of Conduct: All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at the conference are required to agree with the Code of Conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. They expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
