Event Details

As the next Opera on the Spot performance falls on the day before the election next month, they will be doing their part to make their voices heard, singing politically charged operas and art songs.

From Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, where the servants outwit their masters, to Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking, where the issue of the death penalty is brought into question, most operas have a political message or theme the composer and librettist are trying to convey.

Free but an RSVP is required.
