Come by every Sunday; there’s always a fresh traditional or contemporary live act and a surprise special to purchase from the kitchen.

This Sunday, December 4th Original Famous Twang Sundays welcomes Moonshine Maybelline, Valerie Jay Band to Thee Parkside.

Like a siren from the shore, Moonshine Maybelline lures you in with spellbinding ballads, mesmerizes with moody soundscapes, and crashes your broken heart into their country-rock.

Catherine Foreman’s powerful vocals and instantly memorable songs are the centerpiece of this dynamic 5-piece band from San Francisco. Sparks began to fly when she teamed up with twang-rockers Bob Spector (guitar) and Ted O’Connell (bass) of The GoldDiggers and the lineup was solidified with Ian Taylor Sutton on pedal steel and drummer Steve Pearson.

Moonshine Maybelline was introduced to the world with a live performance on college radio leader KALX which earned a spot on their “Best of 2014” list and a SXSW showcase opening for hometown favorite Chuck Prophet.

The band continues to shine on the local scene with appearances ranging from The Fillmore Poster Room to an outdoor concert at Pixar Animation Studios and top local clubs including Make-Out Room, Armando’s, The Starry Plough and The Lost Church.

Valerie Jay Band is led by Ms. Valerie Jay and lends their own spin on classic country and western.
