Mangalam Center’s Buddhist Inspired Cinema Series is proud to announce its next free screening in the theme of Past, Present, & Future Lives.

The screening will take place on Sunday, August 11th at 6 pm at the Mangalam Center located at 2018 Allston Way in Berkeley.

“I Origins” a film by Mike Cahill, follows a molecular biologist whose study of the human eye points to evidence with far reaching implications about our scientific and spiritual beliefs.The running time for this film is 106 minutes. The film is rated R for sexuality/nudity, violence, and language.

“I Origins” will be one of the first more mainstream films we will be presenting in our series. The film is not a Buddhist film, but does engage in Buddhist themes that we are interested in highlighting and discussing openly.

There will have some light snacks, and open conversation following the free screening. Donations welcome.
