Suzie Ferras, owner of Creative IQ Art Studio and CIQ Gallery, was born and raised in San Francisco’s Richmond District. In 2015, Suzie opened Creative IQ in the Outer Richmond, and it has become a neighborhood fixture for after-school programming, art classes, art camps, private parties, and community events.

Creative IQ’s Approach to Arts Education With an emphasis on drawing and painting, Creative IQ programs are designed to have fun while developing drawing skills, painting techniques, and artistic creativity. Creative IQ also provides students the opportunity to explore a wide variety of mediums and art materials, to help further develop their ability to express themselves and their creative ideas. Creative IQ programs promote creative arts literacy, community involvement in the arts, cultural enrichment, self-expression, creative confidence, and social creativity in an active arts environment. Creative IQ gives artists of all ages access to high quality art education, local art professionals, and an active creative arts community, enabling students to engage in and contribute to the flourishing culture of the San Francisco Bay Area.

About Suzie Suzie Ferras has been working professionally in the arts for over 25 years as an artist, educator, curator, and organizer. Her artwork has been featured locally and internationally including on Sesame Street, at the New York Stock Exchange, in Macau in China, and in venues throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area. She has created art programs for and taught at Oakland School for the Arts, San Mateo County College District, and San Francisco Unified School District. As a creative arts community organizer, Suzie helped champion local creative artists, musicians, and the local live art movement in the San Francisco Bay Area, making the fine arts more accessible to local audiences. Suzie is also passionate about volunteering her time in her community. She continues to actively volunteer in her community as a San Francisco Arts Commissioner, and the President of the Balboa Village Merchants Association (BVMA).
