Event Details

Celebrate International Park(ing) Day in Oakland on September 15.

Park(ing) Day is an annual worldwide day where artists, businesses, and citizens transform parking spots into temporary public parks, art galleries, libraries and other interesting destinations.

Use this map to find the many pop-up public spaces throughout the city. You may also transform your own parking space. Let them know where your transformed parking space will be, and they’ll add it to the map and spread the word. On Park(ing) Day, remember to pay the meter throughout the day and to stay safe on the streets.

Highlights include a mini skate ramp and hot dogs, and a special aerial dance performance by Bandaloop on the Great Wall of Oakland.
