Event Details

Join us for a rare opportunity to meet Mountain Travel Sobek’s Patagonia guide Sergio “TC” Bahamondez in the Bay Area. With two events—one in Palo Alto and one at MTS headquarters in Emeryville—we’re bringing the world of Patagonia to you.

Imagine cruising past the sharply chiseled glaciers of a honeycombed Chilean coast with condors overhead and the rare whale sighting. Picture yourself hiking beneath the renowned granite spires of Paine National Park brightly lit in purples and pinks from the glow of sunset. In such a setting, it’s easy to imagine why this area is known as Finis Terrae: the End of the Earth.

Not even the edge of the Earth is immune to today’s environmental concerns, and our experts will touch on the challenges surrounding this unique corner of the planet.

Join us for an insider’s examination of Patagonia, and hear from TC’s 10 years of guiding in Patagonia.

Our events are a great place to learn about the greater world and share your passion for adventure travel with like-minded people. Plus, at this event, we’ll be raffling off 3 duffel bags (Osprey Transporter 46 – snazzy and carry-on sized) to attendees who sign up.

  • Space is limited so RSVP to: Alicia Zablocki, Latin America Program Director – alicia@mtsobek.com
