Peter Coyote presents a kind of spiritual biography that explores his life after the wild ride through the 1960s. The book includes intimate portraits of people that shaped his life — from an intimidating father, to a bebop bass player, to a Mafia consiglieri, to a professional dancer, and finally to Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Gary Snyder, who introduced Coyote to a Zen practice that would change everything else.
