The American Philharmonic-Sonoma County concludes its 11th season with “Más Pasión con QuinTango,” a  tribute to the tango and a showcase for the music of noted Latin American and Spanish composers. Jeremy Cohen will lead the orchestra. The Bay-Area-based Cohen, a violinist and composer, is a multiple Grammy nominee and founder of the acclaimed Quartet San Francisco.

QuinTango, a Washington-DC based chamber ensemble dedicated to the musical performance of tango will present works by tango legends Carlos Gardel, Astor Piazzolla and others of the Golden Age.

Sharing the stage with the Philharmonic and QuinTango will be the renowned tango dance performers Anton Gazenbeek and Carolina Jaurena.

The American Philharmonic season finale performances are Saturday May 21st at 8:00 pm and Sunday May 22nd at 3:00 pm. Tickets to this event are free of charge and feature open seating. Donations are gratefully accepted.
