Event Details

Come one and all to the Moholy Ground Launch Party for the release of our 4th issue on Saturday, May 19 at PhotoboothSF with live music, photography, raffles, and more for free.

So good and free in fact that you will feel guilty that you will want to support the local arts by buying lots of drinks, magazines, and fine art photography (Ya heard!).

Featured Photographers:

  • Nicholas Albrecht
  • Todd Sanchioni
  • Jaime Beechum
  • Ryan Chard Smith
  • Mike Narciso
  • Jeff Mcelroy
  • Scott Finsthwait

  • New sponsors Modify will be  giving away watches.

Musical Guests:

  • Meridians – Meridians is currently Julie Napolin (Citay/By Land and Sea). Her open-form ballads are alternately driving and hypnotic, exploring the overtones, dissonances, and consonances created by voice, tape drones, and guitar.
  • Elephant Empire: Collaboration/improvisation between Matt Pankuch and DJ Boom Bostic
  • DJ Gabuchan

Moholy Ground Magazine, Issue 4:
This is the sharpest looking issue yet! We are so proud of the new laminated cover and the fine art design from Michael Valenti! The featured photographers, the hard working staff, organizers, and writers will make you think you have an Aperture mag in your hand. Are we proud of the newest issue? Do we feel we are making moves in SF? A thunderous hell yeah!!! How does an all volunteer Non-profit Photography journal come out in today’s market filled with energy and full life? Come down and see for yourself!
