Pi and Russell Sing Songs! Help Pi celebrate her birthday in style!
Pi Jacobs draws inspiration from her unconventional upbringing in “The Land of Weed and Wine” aka Northern California, by blending roots-rock swagger with a storytelling soul. Armed with an old Gibson, her “sultry and “explosive” (Glide Magazine) voice, and a thumping homemade stomp box, Pi creates a show that is a fun, high energy, affair. Glen Starkey (New Times SLO) writes: “….you’ll forget your problems for a few hours”
Her new album, Soldier On, (Blackbird Record Label), was in the top 100 of the Americana Music Association Radio Chart, for four months, with ten weeks in the top 50 (2024), and has been described as a “a joyous blast of blues, soul, and string-band stomp”. Pi’s music has been featured on NPR, DittyTV, Austin Music TV, Americana Highways, American Songwriter Magazine and radio around the globe.

Russell Tillitt, an accomplished singer-songwriter, recording artist, performer and session musician based in San Francisco, is known for his carefully crafted compositions and engaging stage presence. With a unique blend of dream pop, indie folk, post-rock and other elements, Tillitt creates a genre-blurring palette of songs and narratives that reach audiences of all kinds.
Earlier this year, Tillitt released his latest album, Finish Line, recorded at Boxer Lodge and featuring long-time friends and collaborators, Peter Craft (producer), Yuki Kasuya (bass) and Heavy (drums), along with guest, James DePrato, well-known for his work with Chuck Prophet among others. Prior recordings include his previous solo album, Pacific, the EP Daydream on the Vine with The Register Side, an Americana-rooted collective featuring several well-known Bay Area musicians. Tillitt has also been featured recently on other recordings by hazy seventies soft-rock pop powerhouse, The Parker Brothers, and singer-songwriter Meli Levi.
Russell performs both solo, as well as with his band, Release The Sharks.
