Pistahan 2026: SF’s Filipino Cultural Festival & Parade (Aug. 8-9)
The Bay Area’s biggest Filipino celebration returns to San Francisco this August with two days of culture, food, music, dance, and community at Yerba Buena Gardens.
The Pistahan Parade and Festival kicks off Saturday, August 8, 2026 with the largest Filipino parade on the West Coast, followed by a free weekend festival celebrating Filipino American heritage, creativity, and traditions.
The free, family-friendly festival features live entertainment, cultural demonstrations, hands-on experiences, and plenty of Filipino food. Explore eight cultural pavilions highlighting Art, Culinary, Dance, Health, Heritage, Innovation, Sports, and Tavern, plus an Exhibit Hall, Food Court, and Sari-Sari Marketplace featuring local vendors, artisans, and entrepreneurs.
Visitors can enjoy performances ranging from traditional Filipino folk dance to hip-hop, jazz, martial arts showcases, and more while discovering the history and heritage of one of the Bay Area’s largest Asian American communities.
Founded in 1994 by the Filipino American Arts Exposition, Pistahan was created to honor and preserve Filipino American culture and the community’s deep roots in SOMA Pilipinas, San Francisco’s Filipino cultural heritage district.
