CLASS DEMO SCHEDULE:

• 1:00–1:30pm: Beginning Voice with Michael Mohammed

Ages: 13 and up

We can all sing. Michael will share beginning vocal technique skills in a fun group setting. We’ll do physical and vocal warm-up, focusing on body alignment and use of the breath. And then we will sing together while apart!

• 1:35–2:05pm: Beginning Piano with Jono Kornfeld

Ages: 8 and up

Join Jono for a basic tutorial on getting going playing the piano with some creative improvisation for beginners. It’s recommended to have a keyboard at the ready.

• 2:10–2:40pm: Music for Children with Teacher Daniel

Ages: 4–7

For the little music-makers, Teacher Daniel will introduce musical skills through rhythm games, singing, creative movement, dancing, and musical play in an interactive and engaging class.

• 2:45–3:15pm: Uke’n Sing with Beth Wilmurt

Ages: 8 and up

Do you like to sing but want to learn to accompany yourself on the uke? Do you play some uke and want to learn to sing along? We will learn to sing and play Beth’s favorite, upbeat, end-of-summer song: “The Swimming Song” by Louden Wainright III. You can play it with two, three, or four chords, or turn your uke in to a drum and just sing along with this catchy tune! Beth will guide you through the tune—the words, the chords, and give you some fun strums to choose from. No preparation and beginners welcome.
