Better than a Polk St. bar crawl, Lower Polk Art Walk joins the community with artistry with tons of gallery openings, murals, and open store installations. The ennead of participating galleries include the Shooting Gallery, White Walls, Nine Four One, Gallery 1044, The Popular Workshop, Space Gallery, LOPO Gallery, Alliance Francaise, and Larkin St. Youth Gallery.
Also, Fern Alley will be converted into Artist in the Alley. The alley will become a gallery showcasing independent artists, video projected works and live art by graffiti artists APEX and Chad Hasegawa. Bring the kids; there are fun activities for them as well.
There is currently an open call for submissions for Artist in the Alley. Email polkartwalk@gmail.com to register before October 20th to showcase your work.
