To understand The Horrors you need to understand what it takes to be a free and independent spirit in 2012 – to do things in your own way and on your own terms at a time when nearly everyone is else is desperate to fit in and all too happy to follow.
It has been a busy summer for The Black Angels, with appearances at Bonnaroo and Fuji Rock in Japan, on MTV’s 120 Minutes and NPR’s World Cafe, and an Australian tour. Their new album Phosphene Dream presents a fresh take on the neo-Psychedelic movement they’ve been at the forefront of for years.
Popscene DJs DJs Nako & Omar open the show.
