Music for the Spanish vihuela by Milan, Narvaez, Mudarra and Francesco da Milano

 Music on the baroque lute by Johann Sebastian Bach

 Throughout his musical career, Franklin Lei has followed the same path as the four pioneer Japanese boys who astonished European audiences when they performed the vihuela for Phillip II and 2 popes in 1585. Lei has performed the instruments of the lute family on 4 continents, most recently in 2017 and 2019 at St. Bartholomew in Dornheim, Germany where J. S. Bach was married in 1707.
