Pretend Summer Hike: Ocean Beach, Land’s End & Trad’r Sam’s | SF

Wear a Hawaiian shirt and meet long-time SF hike leader Jill Katz at Java Beach House to begin your “summer” journey along Ocean Beach towards the Cliff House.

After sinking your toes in the sand, you will check out the cave at Sutro Baths then follow the Land’s End trail towards the newly renovated Eagle’s Point Overlook.

Then turn around and hike back down to the labyrinth. Ooh and ahh at the ocean and marvel at the driftwood and ginormous rocks. By then, you will be quite parched and head over to Geary Street to the lovely tiki bar Trad’r Sams where you can partake in summery beverages such as Mai Tais and boozy milkshakes.

This 6-mile hike is from point A to B, so it’s best to take public transportation. Bring along money for drinks at Trad’r Sams, if you like. Please leave your dogs at home.
