Queer Board Match: LGBTQ+ Nonprofits Meet-up & Free Workshop | SF

Interested in learning more about nonprofit board service? Come and meet with local LGBTQ+ nonprofits and find out how to get involved. TurnOut Queer Board Match brings together a range of San Francisco Bay Area LGBTQ+ nonprofits who are looking to expand and diversify their boards with people looking to learn more about supporting the causes they care about through board service. Volunteer board members are the leaders of nonprofits, they work on strategic planning, fundraising and much more.

Joining a board offers the opportunity to develop your leadership skills outside of your regular day job, build your network, and support nonprofits who deliver crucial services to our local LGBTQ+ community. We will be hosting a panel discussion with LGBTQ+ board members who will share their personal experiences of joining and supporting nonprofit boards in the Bay Area.

TurnOut also hosts Queer Board Forums throughout the year, bringing those currently serving on LGBTQ+ nonprofit boards together to build skills around best practices for board service. Topics include fundraising strategies, good governance, diversity and inclusion, and much more.
